Day 5: Heading for Berlin

The day started with an early breakfast and check out from the Best Western Ambassador in Baunatal. After a small confusion getting on the right bus, we made it to the train station on time! We felt pretty lucky that our train was on schedule, as a lot of the trains this morning where heavily delayed due to signal box problems somewhere on the DB Bahn route.

After arrived in Berlin we headed for our next post on the program, a visit to the Currywurst museum.

Because we where a bit early we decided to check out Charlies Beach, an artificial beach in the middle of the city. Here we enjoyed a flammkuchen along with a beer, while catching up on work.

The Currywurst Museum right across the street from Charlies Beach was a fun experience. Lots of interactive thing to do and new knowledge about the Currywurst. We even got to taste three different Currywursts, which was included in the snack ticket. We tasted one Currywurst made of Bratwurst with skin, one with Bratwurst without skin and one with Curry Bratwurst as a base.

After the museum it was time for some workout to get rid of some wurst weight. We met up with Berlin on Bike and had a fantastic tour around the city, also tasting some of the best Currywurst found.

We even tasted a vegan Currywurst!

We ended the bike tour after dark and headed straight to the hotel for the night at the Best Western Hotel Kantstrasse in Berlin
